Three passes trek in the Everest region is the complete trekking adventure in the Himalaya of Nepal, crossing high passes of Kongma La (5,535m), Cho La (5,420m) and Renjo La (5,340m). Everest high passes trek combines all the highlights in terms of both the Himalayan peaks and the local Sherpa culture in a single complete trekking journey. This is ultimate trek through the less-traveled three passes loop of the Everest circuit. Travelers will constantly be rewarded by the amazing views of highest mountains in the world, and glacial lakes of Gokyo through the quiet valleys. In additions, climb the best vantage points including Kala Patthar and Gokyo Ri for the best photography and memorable trekking holidays in the Everest region.
Our well-acclimatized Three Passes Trek itinerary is led by highly experienced trek leaders for the safest high-altitude travel experience throughout the entire journey. Everest three passes trek is a challenging walking journey suitable for experienced trekkers as most of the walking involves above 3,600m. Beginner trekkers who wish to experience relatively easier trekking journey can join our Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar trek 15 days or Gokyo Lakes and Gokyo Ri trek 16 days. Similarly, if you wish to get to EBC in fewer numbers of days, experience our Short Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Flights 11 Days or Everest Luxury Trek with Helicopter Tour 8 Days . For those who desire to climb a Himalayan peak in Everest region, Island Peak (Imja Tse) 6,189 m Climbing 16 Days is a perfect choice.
3 passes trek map in our website will provide you with a clear outline of where we will be trekking in the Himalayas for 20 days. Three passes trek solo is considered as not recommended since an experienced leader only can guide you through this challenging trek in the whole world. Three passes trek distance is roughly 140 km in total excluding the acclimatization day hikes. How hard is the 3 passes trek? The answer is it's not just hard but challenging due to its 3 high passes namely Kongma La pass (5,535m), Cho La pass (5,420m) and Renjo La pass (5,340m). Gokyo Ri is the most desired Himalayan viewpoint to see those magical Gokyo lakes lying calmly in the lap of mighty Himalayas. Anti-clockwise circuit of Everest region with Gokyo Lakes trek and Everest Base Camp trek itinerary is highly demanded among mature trekkers who are addicted to Himalayas and recommended by KimKim too. The major viewpoints of high pass trek are Kalapathar, Gokyo Ri, Renjola Pass, Chola Pass, and Kongmala Pass.
Sagarmatha national park is the world's most renowned national park visited by thousands of adventure trekkers every year. Our entire 20 days high pass trek will be conducted within the national park admiring flawless natural reflections of Himalayas. High passes trekking adventure is relatively more challenging than the regular treks getting yourself exposed to highest elevations on earth and roughest Himalayan terrains as well. Sherpa cultures is another major attraction of high passes trek where we get to experience their warm hospitality, unique Sherpa traditions and practices, extraordinary strength adopted to Himalayas and courage to conquer those High Himalayas. It is dream of a serious trekker to conquer highest passes in Everest region namely Kongma La pass (5,535m), Cho La pass (5,420m) and Renjo La pass (5,340m) with magical view of Himalayas from Gokyo Ri and Kalapathar.
The best time for a perfect Three passes trek in the Everest region is during seasons of Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November). One can have the most amazing views throughout the trip due to moderate temperatures. It is not possible to trek during winter months due to very cold temperature and because of rains in the lower altitudes during monsoon season.
