We contacted Extollo Adventures thru a common friend. We were picked up promptly by the Tour guide and taken to Hotel Shankar (a beautiful hotel in Kathmandu). Later, after all the members arrived, we were briefed about the coming trek. Maps, down jackets and sleeping bags were distributed along with a sherpa bag.

Rishi ji was our tour guide. He was fantastic, a very patient and cheerful Gorkha leader. He took exceptional care during the trip, always keeping an eye on the slowest member in the group. The hotels provided at Phakding, Namche bazaar, Lobuche, Tengbouche and Gorakshep were the best available. The tour guide, his assistants and sherpas provided plenty of lemon tea, hot water as needed. On difficult parts of the hike, they even took our backpacks without any complaint.

Thanks to their care, we had an amazing time, soaking in the views and taking plenty of pictures. The trek has breathtaking views and we could observe the life of Nepalis. They are very friendly and helpful.

Our side trip to Kaala Pathaar from Gorakshep did not happen because of bad weather. Also, most of us were exhausted and glad privately that the hike got cancelled.

Overall, kudos to Extollo, our lovely guide. It was a trip of a life time and many life long friendships were made,
